Plain TeX Template for Theses
on CTU in Prague

Petr Olšák, July 2013

Analogical template
is prepared for
Charles University
in Prague

I have prepared the template for bachelor, master or doctoral theses on CTU in Prague using Plain TeX. This work was done on the basis of the dicussion on forum FEL. The template is based on csplain and OPmac.

The template for theses solves the followig independent questions:

  • The specification of the mandatory parts of the thesis, their names and their placement into the document.
  • The way of making the document, i. e. (in TeX case) the markup of mandatory and obligatory parts in source file.
  • The design or typography of the formatted document.

The independency of these items are illustrated by more implemetations of the same typographics design using another software tools. For example Tom Hejda (known as tohecz or yo) did create the LaTeX variant of this template called ctuthesis.

Enjoy with the CTUstyle!

  • ctustyle2.zip ... Zip archive with all files needed for working with the CTUstyle template (in version 2 where font Technika is used; it follows the recommendation from CTU identity manual).
  • ctustyle1.zip ... Zip archive with all files needed for working with the CTUstyle template (in version 1).
  • ctustyle2-doc.pdf, ctustyle1-doc.pdf, ... The documentation of the CTUstyle which is created by CTUstyle. This document illustrates the outupt design and describes the way of making the document and mandatory parts of the document.
  • slides.pdf ... simple slides in CTUstyle design.
  • example-ts.pdf ... a template for Doctoral thesis statement in CTUstyle design.

Dependences: TeX, csplain in version Nov. 2012 (or newer), OPmac in version Jul. 2013 (or newer).
